Known as one of the top tourism destinations in America for its rich history, multitude of recreational sites and theme parks it's no wonder attendance increases when sports events are held here. Popular facilities include the Sports Complex, a baseball complex with lighted youth fields and one lighted majors' field.The soccer/multi-use com- plex includes 4 premier and 4 interme- diate soccer/multi-use fields, 6 synthetic turf multi-use fields and concessions. Quarterpath Recreation Center in- cludes an 18,000-square-foot gymnasium, a 1,700-square-foot dance/aerobics room, two meeting rooms and a 1,900-square- foot multi-purpose room. The McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC) is a 70-acre park with 13 lighted athletic fields for soccer, youth baseball, baseball/soccer and adult baseball. The McCormack Nagelsen Tennis Center features six indoor tennis courts using a GreenSet GrandPrix Surface. is home of the Colonial Virginia Tourna- ment and offers best-in-class bowling with 40 all-star lanes and an on-site Pro Shop. hosts football, soccer and field hockey games and tournaments. The 3,000-seat stadium has rubber in-field synthetic turf with permanent lines for different sports. is home to William & Mary's Tribe football. Chickahominy Riverfront Park offers a 290-foot lighted fishing pier that's available for use 24 hours a day and a catch-and-release pond. A fresh water license is required for fishing from the pier. The park also features a boat ramp to launch personal watercraft. Canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals are available for rent April 1-October 31. Several fishing tournaments are hosted throughout the year.
