The city is home to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, Texas A&M, and a diverse nightlife and dining scene. The city is also home to 55 public parks. Number of Soccer/Lax Fields: 11 multipurpose athletic fields – nine natural-grass fields and two synthetic fields. Construction on two addi- tional synthetic fields will start summer 2018. Major Soccer/Lacrosse Tournaments Hosted: 18 Soccer/Lacrosse events to be hosted in 2018, including the ODP: South Texas Regional Soccer Tournament, Texans Aggieland Soccer Tournament, TAAF: Games of Texas, Laxapalooza Texas Shoot-Out Lacrosse Tournament. More tournaments are scheduled for 2019. Year Built/Open: May 2003. Two synthetic fields added in 2014. Two additional artificial turf fields to be added fall 2018. Additional Information: The 150-acre facility includes 11 multipurpose athletic fields, five natural-grass softball fields, lights on all fields, 1,500 parking spots, a pavilion that seats 550, Wi-Fi connectivity and more than 5,500 area hotel rooms; within easy driving distance of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas-Fort Worth; home to Texas A&M University, one of the nation's largest collegiate institutions. Number of Soccer/Lax Fields: 21 full-size fields Major Soccer/Lacrosse Tournaments Hosted: The 2017 Albion Cup National Soccer Showcase, a premier event for U8 – U19 boys' and girls' elite teams from across the country. This is the 17th year for this event. The San Diego Surf Cup Tournament is composed of three large tournaments that draw more than 10,000 participants and 125,000 spectators for the youth soccer event. This is the 35th year of this tournament. Year Built/Open: 2014 Additional Information: A 52.5-acre complex that hosts soccer, lacrosse and rugby, located minutes from San Diego's white sandy beaches where the average daily temperature is 70 degrees.
