In Houston last year, the event hosted more than 130 boy's premier and elite club teams in Under-15 through U-19, representing teams from Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Washington and Virginia. Mexico was also represented. "We are thrilled to have been selected to host the NCAA Men's College Cup Showcase," said Chris Giacomucci, executive direc- tor at DE TURF. "Our facility met their needs with our syn- thetic-turf fields and conve- nient location to Philadelphia. We're very excited to host an event of this size and caliber, particularly in December, when the economic benefits will be felt by our area hotels, restaurants and retailers." The showcase will feature three games per team in front of more than 200 college coaches. Each team will also be recognized on the field at Talen Energy Stadium during the College Cup and receive tickets to both the semifinals and the national championship game. "With the new location and a brand new state-of-the-art facility, we expect to draw some of the best competition to this year's showcase," said Matt Libber, vice president of Elite Tournaments. DE TURF is the largest all- turf multi-use sports complex in the Mid-Atlantic and fea- tures 12 synthetic-turf fields, including five fields with lights, and championship sta- dium with bleacher seating, on-site concessions, restrooms and public Wi-Fi. The app is loaded with free drills and workouts and allows a player to chart their progress over time. Users may also compete in virtual camps, challenges and learn tips from the pros. ShotTracker includes a wrist sensor that captures shot attempts and a net sensor that registers shot attempts or misses. With the device, a player pairs a favorite ball, a hoop and a smartphone or tablet to access the data. The ShotTracker Package includes a net sensor, wrist sensor, wrist band, charging unit and one USB charging cable. ShotTracker TEAM is also available to track player and ball movement and deliver real-time basketball statistics to help players and coaches.
