Gwin- nett is home to some of the state's premier sports facilities, including the Infinite Energy Arena and the Suwanee Sports Academy. Hotel rooms: 11,000 Hotel tax rate: 13 percent plus $5 per room, per night Major facilities: Infinite Energy Arena is a 13,000-seat multipurpose arena. Infinite Energy Arena has a 50,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Suwanee Sports Academy is a 100,000-square-foot multipurpose facility with seven regulation NBA courts. Coolray Field is a 10,427-seat Minor League ballpark. Life Time Athletic and Tennis at Peachtree Corners contains 24 hard courts. Buford Arena is a 125,000-square-foot facility. LaGrange is easily accessible from Atlanta, as well as Birmingham, Montgomery and Macon. Hotel rooms: 840 Major facilities: LaGrange College houses a baseball field and two softball fields. George F. Harris Baseball Complex houses eight fields. Shuford Fields consists of six baseball/softball fields. Callaway Sta- dium is a 5,000-seat football, lacrosse and soccer stadium. Tennis tournaments are the city's major sporting event, as the city has two beautiful facilities. "The CHUCK" at Home Plate features the first 100 percent synthetic-turf baseball field with rubber-coated sand in the state. Peachtree City Tennis Center features 24 courts. MOBA Soccer Academy has two full-size fields. Contact: Peachtree City CVB, www.visitpeachtreecity.com COLUMBUS' SOLDIER MARATHON: This year Columbus will be hosting the eighth annual Soldier Marathon, an event established to salute the American Soldier and give runners a great experience in the community. The Soldier Marathon Races — which are held at the National Infantry Museum — include the full 26.2-mile marathon, the 13.1- mile half marathon, the 26.2-mile relay marathon, the 3.1-mile soldier 5k and the 26.2 mile Kids Soldier Marathon. This year's race will be held on November 18, 2017.
