Page 134 of 165 December 2016 133 One of the fastest, low-altitude outdoor velodromes in the world, Frisco Super- drome has hosted several U.S. National Cycling Championships in addition to local cycling series. The Superdrome is also part of the United States Olympic Training Centers, and will host training and compe- tition under the guidance of USA Cycling, including state, national, world cup and world championship events. The newest addition to Frisco's soccer lineup is The P.I.T. (Performance Indoor Training), boasting more than 60,000 square feet of space, including four small indoor fields, one full-sized indoor field and a full-sized outdoor field. Each is equipped with video cameras that broad- cast the games live online! Other facilities to consider in Frisco include two 30-lane bowling centers, four golf courses, the 90,000-square-foot Frisco Conference Center or the brand new nata- torium, Texas Ford Aquatics, featuring an Olympic-sized competition pool; a three- lane, a 25-yard warm water therapy pool; a glassed-in viewing area; and a state-of-the- art air filtration. Award-winning and sports-friendly hotels in a variety of price ranges add to Frisco's appeal, and there is plenty to do for athletes and their families when not competing, with more than 9 million square feet of shopping and dining at Stonebriar Centre, IKEA, iFly indoor skydiving and more!
