Every August, the state welcomes profes- sional cyclists to compete in the USA Pro Challenge. Last year, Colorado played host to the Alpine World Ski Championships. This year, the state will play host to the 106 West Triathlon that will be one of the highest triath- lons in the world. Seven professional sports teams call the Centennial State home and it is the most popular ski state in the coun- try.
