Ed Smith Stadium & Buck O'Neil Baseball Complex features an 8,000-seat stadium, four additional on-site training felds with one practice half-feld, fve off-site training felds and a clubhouse. Sarasota Polo Grounds covers 130 acres and houses nine meticulously groomed and irrigated polo felds, two stick and ball felds and a regulation-sized arena. The 140-acre Premier Sports Campus consists of 22 felds. Selby Aquatics Center is an outdoor swimming and aquatics facility featuring a 50-meter competition pool. See Ad On Page 51 Seminole County Sports competitions have called Seminole County home for almost a century, from the early spring training games of the New York Giants and Boston Braves to the training grounds for Major League Soccer's Orlando City professional sports team. The county is situated in the Orlando-Kissimmee metro area. Hotel rooms: 5,000+ Major facilities: Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium is a baseball park with seating for more than 100. Sanlando Park features 25 lighted, hard court tennis courts, eight four-wall outdoor racquetball courts, two outdoor basket- ball courts, one beach volleyball court and four wallyball courts. Seminole County Softball Complex offers fve lighted felds. Seminole Youth Soccer Complex houses a soccer feld and seat- ing. Sylvan Lake Park provides felds for soccer, rugby, feld hockey, football and lacrosse. Soldier's Creek Park is a 315- acre facility with soccer/football felds and softball/baseball felds. Coming soon: Seminole County is constructing a 100+ acre sports complex that will become the home of hundreds of top youth and amateur events over the next several years. St. Petersburg/Clearwater Situated in southwest Florida is St. Petersburg and neighboring Clearwater. The cities offer plenty of venues for indoor sports, but outdoor and water sports thrive here thanks to the area's great weather. Belcher Soccer Complex is a three-feld complex that hosts soccer, lacrosse and fag football. Bright House Field is a 10,000-seat ballpark and the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies. Tallahassee Tallahassee, Florida's state capital, is home to three colleges and venues for numerous sports, including swimming, diving, football, baseball, track and cross country. This year, the north- ern Florida city will host the Capital City Senior Games, ACC Track & Field Championships, ASA Softball National Qualifer Capital City Invite and the AAU National Cross Country Championship.
