The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex encompasses 163 acres as well as a 20-acre lake. There are two sports complexes within the park that are separated by a span of walking trails. One side includes the baseball/softball facilities with six diamonds and the other side is composed of eight regulation-sized soccer/lacrosse fields. With the additional facilities at the com- plex, it gives the city a total of 12 youth baseball/softball fields; three high school/ collegiate baseball fields; 10 multi-purpose fields for soccer/lacrosse; four gymnasi- ums with access to more; an eight-lane, 25- meter pool; a 20-acre lake for watersports; and certified 5k, 10k and half-marathon courses all with ocean views. Between the new sports complex and other available facilities, the city has al- ready proudly hosted events such as the World Quidditch Cup, the US Basket- ball Association Summer Nationals, the Dixie Softball World Series, the Fastpitch Dreams Classic, the High Tide Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, and the Diva Mara- thon, just to name a few. The complex has a number of other adventures for you as well. Be sure to visit the GoApe Zip Line & Treetop Adventure, and check out their playgrounds, picnic shelters, various activities at the amphithe- ater that seats 2,000, hover over the surface of the 25-acre lake with a jetpack, walk along one of three trails, or toss a Frisbee in the 10-acre meadow. About 3.5 miles from all of these great facilities is our backyard and the simplest reason to choose our destination…the BEACH! And just beyond the beach, our area offers many fun attractions and activ- ities.
