The City of Laredo is proud to welcome its two newest facilities: The Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course and Uni-Trade Stadium. The Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course is strategically situated on 270 acres of atypical South Texas brush coun- try land and designed by Landscapes Unlimited in coordination with famed architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The site boasts Rio Grande River frontage with the clubhouse, and holes 8, 9, 15 and 16 play- ing directly alongside and overlooking the river. Information on the course, green and cart fees can be found at Uni-Trade Stadium is designed to accommodate professional baseball dimen- sions. The facility has a stadium capacity of 6,000 for baseball, as well as 11 suites. Grass berm areas accom- modate an additional 1,700 spectators, and picnic tables another 370 attendees. The stadium also features an air-conditioned club level sports bar, first-class press box, an 11,000-square-foot kids' play area and team offices, clubhouses and maintenance areas. Both facilities are open to host high school and college regular season and play- off games and tournaments.
