The city will soon welcome the Scheel's Sports Complex, which will add a num- ber of baseball and softball felds to the city's offerings, and the University of North Dakota Athletics High Performance Center, which includes a 100-yard artifcial turf feld and 300- meter, eight-lane track. Coming soon: Grand Forks will be host to the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men's World Championship in April 2016. Hotel rooms: 2,688 Major facilities: Ralph Engelstad Arena is a 400,000-square foot arena that hosts hockey, ice events and basketball. The Alerus Center is a 100,000-square foot facility that accom- modates football, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, wrestling, dance, cheerlead- ing and rodeos. The Betty Engelstad Sioux Center hosts basketball and vol- leyball. The new ICON Sports Center features two USA Hockey-sanctioned size rinks. Williston Northwest North Dakota's Williston is located near three bodies of water, the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers and Lake Sakakawea, making it a popular destination for fshing. The Williston Area Recreation Center offers four indoor tennis courts, indoor turf, four basketball courts, a 200-meter competition track and a 50-meter competition pool.
