Peachtree City Peachtree City is a unique master planned community in west Georgia. Rome In the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northwest Georgia is Rome, a city with three rivers—Etowah, Oostanaula and Coosa—that frame the downtown district. In 2016, the city will welcome the Tennis Center of Georgia, a new facility that will house 62 hard- surface courts and 12 USTA courts for players aged 10 and under. Hotel rooms: 800+ Major facilities: Barron Stadium houses an Astroturf football feld with an eight-lane track. State Mutual Stadium is a 5,000-seat baseball park. Grayson Stadium is a 4,000- seat baseball stadium that is home to the Savannah Sandgnats, the Class A affliate of the New York Mets. The Savannah College of Art & Design houses an equestrian center, soccer feld and lacrosse feld. Armstrong State University offers a 4,000-seat arena, baseball feld, softball feld, volleyball courts, indoor pool and soccer feld. Savannah State University features a 6,000-seat arena, stadium for football and track and feld, baseball feld, softball feld, tennis courts, basketball courts and volleyball courts. Convention center: Situated on the northern shore of the Savannah River, the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center features a 97,750-square-foot exhibit hall. The facility has hosted numerous events, including gymnastics and cheer and dance, and is adjacent to the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. Visitors can hike or bike on the towpath edging the historic canal, fsh from the canal banks, paddle a canoe or kayak, or take one of several daily guided boat tours aboard a replica canal cargo boat.
