In addition to a variety of ven- ues like the Woodruff Soccer Complex and eight-field Softball Complex, the city boasts the Chattahoochee River, Lake Harding and Lake Oliver, all great fishing destinations. Tournaments such as Cabela's King Kat Tournament and Bass Pro Shops Big Cat Quest Nationwide Tour have been held here. Hotel rooms: 4,500 Major facilities: Golden Park is a 7,500-seat softball park. A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium is a 15,000-seat foot- ball venue. The Softball Complex offers eight fields. Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex houses 10 regulation-sized fields. Cooper Creek Tennis Center has 30 clay courts with lights. Northside Park Recreational Facility and Athletic Complex boasts three softball fields and a 19,000-square-foot recreation center with a gym. Psalmond Road Recreational Facility and Athletic Complex features a football field, four Little League fields and a 19,000-square-foot recreation center with gym. Shirley Winston Park Super Center has a football field, four-field Little League complex and a recreation center with gym. Double Churches Complex houses an Olympic-sized pool, baseball fields and tennis courts. Columbus State University offers a softball field, baseball field, tennis courts, soccer complex and two gyms. Convention/civic centers: The Columbus Convention & Trade Center offers 182,000 square feet of usable floor space. Dalton In the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia is Dalton. The city boasts approximately 12 soccer fields, nine of which are lighted, 25 baseball/softball fields, more than 30 tennis courts, biking trails and four golf courses. Hotel rooms: 1,400+ Major facilities: Heritage Point Park is a 300-acre facility including 10 soft- ball fields, baseball fields, artificial turf soccer fields, tennis courts and a disc golf course. The 55-acre Al Rollins Baseball Complex features five baseball fields. Lakeshore Park is a 45-acre park housing two softball fields, an artificial turf soccer field and 10 tennis courts.
