The 54,000-square-foot Osage Centre is a community center with two regulation basketball courts, four regulation volleyball courts and an indoor walking/ running track. The city features a picturesque landscape with the rolling hills of the Ozarks. ➤ Independence Independence sits in the western portion of the state and is part of the Kansas City metro area. This summer, the city will break ground on the Stoney Creek Inn and Conference Center. Once the center is completed in early 2015, it will include a 173-room hotel and a conference center with 32,000 square feet of event space.
