Owensboro
Owensboro is located on the Ohio River
in western Kentucky in the heart of
Daviess County. The city will soon be
able to offer 92,994 more square feet of
flexible event space with the opening of
the new Owensboro Convention Center.
Located on the banks of the Ohio River in
downtown Owensboro, the new center is
scheduled to open in January 2014.

Major facilities: The Owensboro
Sportscenter is a multi-purpose, 5,000seat arena. Panther Creek Park has six
baseball/softball diamonds. The Edge Ice
Center features 17,000-square feet of ice
surface in its 42,000-square-foot facility.
Opening in late 2013, the Owensboro
Tennis Center will be a 48,000-squarefoot facility with six hard-surface indoor
courts and 12 hard-surface outdoor courts.
