It is considered to be the only waterfront baseball complex in the Southeast. The premier athletic facility is owned and operated by Detyens Shipyards which was relocated to the Naval Shipyard on the Cooper River. The park features three youth-size fields and two colle- giate fields, a state-of-the-art training facility, press boxes, scoreboards, covered stands, concession area, river- front walking path and a nautical- themed playground. The training facility contains bat- ting cages, a removable turf infield and two-levels for viewing in the 17,500-square-foot, climate-controlled facility. An equipment store is on-site and the facility can be converted for other events and sports. The multipur- pose fields can accommodate softball, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse.
