Sioux Park includes 12 USTA-sanc- tioned tennis courts, two lighted soccer fields, one outdoor track and is adjacent to three baseball fields. Convention center: The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center will break ground in 2019 on a new 10,000-seat multi-use arena, which is scheduled to open in 2021. The expansion to the existing 250,000 square feet of multipurpose space will make it a premier indoor event center. The city is located at the junction of I-90 and I-29, and is home to the state's largest airport, making it accessible for athletes, families and fans. The Sanford Sports Com- plex features nine basketball or volleyball courts and the Heritage Court Arena, which seats 3,250. Yankton Trail Park features 21 fields on 163 acres. Sherman/Harmodon Park includes nine agri-lime lighted fields, eight agri-lime lighted softball fields and seven agri-lime lighted baseball fields. The Midco Aquatic Center houses a 50-meter pool. The city also offers 12 softball fields, two golf courses, 30 youth soccer fields, a four-diamond baseball complex and a Minor League baseball stadium.
