"With competitions held on Lake Erie or at unique locations such as Cedar Point Amusement Park or Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, you'll want to add a few days to your visit to enjoy all the area has to offer." And Lake Erie Islands are accessible by ferry and cruise boats. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky has 210,000 square feet of event space for sports events, as well as being home to the Safari Adven- tures Park, the largest indoor water park in the United States. The Lake Erie area of Ohio is loaded with water parks, including Cedar Point Shores Water Park, which will soon include Point Plummet, a six-story aqua-drop body slide at Cedar Point Amusement Park. The amusement park also offers 70 rides, includ- ing roller coasters, and hosts sports events throughout the year. The all-new 10-field Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center is scheduled to open this spring. It's designed to be a tour- nament-ready facility for baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse. The new sports venue will be at Sandusky's iconic Cedar Point Amusement Park, known as The Roller Coaster Capital of the World.
