Lubbock is situated in the northwestern portion of Texas and is home to Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. A major attraction for Lubbock is its convenience, said Adrianna Alter, communications coordinator for Visit Lubbock. "It's a mere 15-minute drive to any sporting facility citywide from any hotel, attraction, or other sporting facili- ty—providing teams with more time on the field and less time on the road."
