Hotel rooms: 1,500+ Major facilities: The Indian Trails Sports Complex features eight multi- sport felds, three baseball felds and a softball feld. Flagler County Recreation Area is the site of the county fairgrounds, as well as four baseball felds and four softball felds. Wadsworth Park offers seven lighted felds for soccer and lacrosse, a softball feld, three tennis courts and two basketball courts. Palm Coast Tennis Center, a USTA National Award Winner for Outstanding Small Public Facility, boasts 10 lighted hydro- clay courts. The city is known as a strong sports community with a small-town atmosphere and family-friendly environment. Hotel rooms: 5,000 Hotel tax rate: 11 percent Major facilities: Champions Park of Newberry is a 16-feld complex with all turf infelds. Easton Newberry Sports Complex is a 20,000-square-foot facility on a 100-acre, multi-sport complex that can host archery, baseball, basketball, cricket, lacrosse, cross country, fast pitch softball, football, rugby, soccer and volleyball. Jonesville Tennis Center has 14 lighted clay courts, one tourna- ment standard show court and one beach tennis court. Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium hosts track and feld and soccer. Jonesville - Gainesville Soccer Alliance's complex has six soccer felds that can also be used for fag football and lacrosse. Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex has a 1,000-seat grandstand overlooking six main lighted courts and an additional six back courts. Donald R. Dizney Lacrosse Stadium has two lacrosse felds. Hal Brady Recreational Sports Complex is a fve- feld complex that can be used for soft- ball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse and rugby. The city is an athletic and active destination with countless opportunities to be out- doors and run, swim, surf and bike. Each year, Jacksonville hosts numerous events such as the Gate River Run, the largest 15K in the nation, the 26.2 with Donna, the only marathon in the nation that runs on the beach and THE PLAYERS Championship. Hotel rooms: 18,000 Hotel tax rate: 13 percent Major facilities: Jacksonville's Sports Complex houses a 76,000-seat stadium, 16,250-square-foot arena and the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, which has a capacity of 11,000. The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is a 1,700-acre complex. Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida has a capacity of 9,400 and boasts a nine-lane Olympic quality track. Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex offers 100,000 square feet of space under one roof. Patton Park features 12 soccer felds. Convention center: The Prime F. F L O R I D A t Cheer & Dance Championships in Daytona Beach Daytona Beach Area CVB Rev It Up Muscle Car City, in Punta Gorda, is a car lover's paradise. The 99,000-square-foot museum fea- tures more than 200 cars, all in mint condition, mostly from the muscle car era of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
