FIELD PROFILE: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Grand Park Athletic Complex
This complex offers any amenity needed to produce a successful
event—including web-enabled cameras on the fields so family and
friends not in attendance can watch from home.
Number of fields: Seven lighted FieldTurf fields for baseball, softball,
soccer, lacrosse and football.
Year built: 2012
Events hosted: Triple Crown Sports Summer Nationals, The Youth
Baseball Nationals, USSSA Baseball, ISSA U.S. Open National
Championships, Freedom Sports Adult Softball, Snowbird Collegiate
Softball, Grand Strand Softball Classic and WFC Softball.
Interesting fact: The complex is built on the old Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.
Extras: Covered dugouts, multiple concession locations, a six-lane FieldTurf batting cage, seating for up to 100, three PA sys-
tems, scoreboards, a playground area, picnic shelters, a one-mile fitness trail and lake. Spectator shade systems are being
installed on all bleachers in 2016 for additional comfort.
