Griffon Indoor Sports Complex: St. Joseph is the summer home of the Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp. The new Griffon Indoor Sports Complex facility is available for rentals all but the weeks of camp each year.
The 80,000-square-foot indoor practice
field was built for the main purpose of hosting the Kansas City Chiefs Summer Training Camp. The amazing facility is a sports event planner's dream! Rubber infill, monofilament Astro Turf, six retractable batting/hitting cages, netting to divide practice field so two softball games can take place at one time. The facility also includes a strength and power training room. Medical and physi- cal therapy areas, NFL quality locker rooms, 120-seat lecture hall, classrooms,
offices, additional locker rooms and 350 parking spaces. This facility has been a great addition to our community!
Civic Arena: Recently hosting the NCAA Women's Elite Eight Championships and many other amazing events, the Civic Arena is the perfect facility to host events of all types. The dynamic, versa- tile design of the Civic Arena includes flexible seating capabilities that enable us to accommodate any type of event.
General assembly seating for up to 4,200 or as much as 19,000 square feet of unobstructed exhibit space or performing surface along with seating for 2,300. Superb acoustics and lighting plus a clear view of activities from all locations. Modular walls within the meeting room complex allow arrangements for groups of 25 up to 300. These spacious rooms are ideal for seminars, banquets, private meetings and receptions. Access to the building is excellent for exhibitors, per- formers and audiences. Facilities are completely equipped for and easily accessible to the handicapped
