Ames Central Iowa is home to Ames, a city with numerous parks, bike trails and golf courses. With Iowa State University being located in the city, Ames also boasts plenty of indoor and outdoor venues for sporting events large and small, including the ISU Cross Country Course, the first course in the nation designed exclusively for competitive cross-country.
