CenturyLink Center is an indoor venue that seats 14,500 for bas- ketball, hockey, tennis, rodeo and other indoor events. Hirsch Memorial Coliseum is an 8,500-seat, multi-purpose venue with 20,000 square feet of space. Bossier Civic Center houses 24,000 square feet of space with a 10,000- square-foot banquet hall. Southwest Louisiana/Lake Charles Southwest Louisiana, which includes Lake Charles and Sulphur, plays host to dozens of sporting events every year thanks to its 60+ baseball fields, 50 bas- ketball courts, 25 football fields, eight 18-hole golf courses, 45 soccer fields and 59 softball fields. In between games, par- ticipants and attendees can check out one of the more than 75 annual fairs and fes- tivals that are held here year-round, causing the region to be known as the Festival Capital of Louisiana. Hotel rooms: 5,286 Major facilities: Burton Complex offers a domed arena that can be used for basketball, cheer and dance, gymnastics, martial arts, volleyball, wrestling and rodeos. McMurry Park features 13 base- ball fields, six softball fields and eight lighted tennis courts. Civic center: The Lake Charles Civic Center is a three-level, three-part com- plex located in the heart of downtown Lake Charles. The facility's James E. Sudduth Coliseum has a flexible seating capacity of 7,450 and can accommodate basketball, cheer and dance, indoor foot- ball, gymnastics, martial arts, volleyball and equestrian events.
