The Greater Rochester International Airport is located just about five miles from down- town Rochester. Hotel rooms: 7,400 Major facilities: Frontier Field is a 10,840-seat ballpark. Blue Cross Arena is a 14,000-seat indoor arena that can host a variety of sports. Sahlen's Stadium has seating for 13,500 and offers a turf field. Gordon Field House and Activities Center at RIT offers a 60,000-square-foot field and event venue and aquatics center. Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex is a 170,000- square-foot, multi-purpose sports complex located on 12 acres at Monroe Community College and includes four ice rinks with a main seating capacity of 2,500. Total Sports Experience houses 115,000 square feet of space with two boarded fields and a boardless field for soccer, lacrosse, football and field hockey, as well as 14 outdoor multi-purpose grass fields. Saratoga Springs Saratoga Springs is located in western New York in Saratoga County. The close proximity of the area's sports facilities, restaurants, attractions and hotels make the city suitable for many types of sports. Clifton Common houses six regulation-sized soccer fields, three half-sized soccer fields, two NHL regulation-sized ice rinks, six softball fields, eight baseball fields, four outdoor basketball courts and cross country ski trails. Syracuse In the heart of the state is Syracuse. More than 63 million people are located within a 350-mile radius of Syracuse, making it an easy drive from many major metropolitan areas in the Northeast. Hotel rooms: 6,700 Major facilities: The Carrier Dome is a 50,000-seat domed stadium that can be used for football, basketball and lacrosse. NBT Bank Stadium is a Minor League ballpark. War Memorial Arena is a multi-use arena. The New York State Fairgrounds Empire Expo Center is an 11-building facility that can accommodate hockey, dirt bike racing and horse racing.
