Convention center: The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center houses 110,000 square feet of space and hosts a variety of sports such as taekwondo, roller hockey and cheer and dance competitions. Long Island Long Island stretches out from New York Harbor into the Atlantic Ocean and includes the counties of Nassau and Suffolk. The area offers a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities for all sports including lacrosse, football, soccer, dance and cheer competitions, and swimming and diving. Hotel rooms: 17,000+ Major facilities: Hofstra University offers a 5,046-seat multi-use arena. Nassau County Aquatic Center has 80,000 square feet. The 77,000-square-foot LIU Post is a 3,000-seat arena. Mitchel Athletic Complex contains a multi-use field with stadium seating for 10,000. Stony Brook University's stadium seats 8,200.
