Rocky Mount At the intersection of I-95 and U.S. 64 in the coastal plains of North Carolina is Rocky Mount, the midpoint between New York and Florida. While water sports such as swim- ming, fishing and surfing are certainly popular here, the area also has plenty of venues for sports like baseball, softball, tennis, soccer and lacrosse. Winston-Salem Winston-Salem sits in the center of North Carolina in an area known as the Piedmont Triad between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The Wake Forest Tennis Complex has two facilities: an outdoor facility with 13 courts and an indoor facility with eight courts. The BB&T; Soccer Park offers 13 natural grass fields and stadium seating for 1,400. BB&T; BallPark is a Minor League ballpark with seating for 5,500. Winston-Salem Entertainment- Sports Complex has more than 90,000 square feet of space. Tanglewood Park contains a BMX track. Convention center: The M.C.
