The complex will have 10 outdoor all-syn- thetic turf youth baseball and softball fields plus a 125,000-square-foot dome offering year-round play. The dome is slated to open this fall, and the outdoor fields will open in the spring of 2015. Avanti's Dome sits on a 33-acre complex that includes a 76,000-square-foot dome; a 3,000- square-foot banquet center; and an 11-acre, four-field outdoor complex. FC Peoria has 24 soccer fields. Dozer Park is a minor league baseball park with a 7,500-person capacity. Convention center: The Peoria Civic Center is a multi-purpose complex that houses a 12,000-square-foot arena, a 2,200-seat theater, 110,000 square feet of continuous exhibit space, a 27,000- square-foot ballroom, and additional rooms totaling 17,000 square feet. With major facili- ties such as Sportscore One and Sportscore Two, Rockford attracts sporting events year round. Hotel rooms: 3,000 Major facilities: Sportscore One is a 179-acre facility with eight lighted soft- ball diamonds, eight soccer fields, nine regulation-sized soccer fields and boat ramps. Sportscore Two is a 124-acre site with 19 regulation-sized soccer fields, 14 outdoor practice fields, four sand volley- ball courts and an Indoor Sports Center that houses three multi-sport surfaces for indoor soccer and five volleyball/basket- ball courts. The 3,279-seat Aviators Stadium hosts a variety of baseball games and wrestling tournaments. Springfield Springfield, the capital of Illinois, is cen- trally located in the state. In addition to easy accessibility, the city offers venues for sports from soccer and softball to hockey and pickle ball. Hotel rooms: 4,000 Major facilities: The Illinois State Fairgrounds features a one-mile oval dirt track and a multi-sport arena. The Springfield Area Soccer Association offers 16 fields. The Nelson Center houses two sheets of ice. Land of Lincoln Junior Olympic Softball operates a youth sports complex with seven lighted softball diamonds.
